Thoughts

God is good. Life is bittersweet and beautiful. I love it, and I’m so thankful that I can say that, because there were many times in my life where I just wanted it to be over. But by God’s grace and strength, I outlived my demons. Christ conquered them. And here I am.

Life certainly isn’t perfect. It certainly isn’t how I thought it’d turn out. There’s still pain sometimes, even remnants of pain that is past, but it just enhances the color life holds and makes it all the more beautiful.

Leaves change color and become vibrant when they’re dying. Their beauty requires pain, and all to prepare for new blossoms in the spring. I love how God uses that to illustrate His wisdom and beauty in our lives. Pain refines us. It makes us vibrant and full of stunning beauty, that simply reflects our Savior.

It reflects the ultimate suffering and death that led to true new life – the sacrifice of our perfect Savior, that led to eternal, full, complete life.

It all ties back to Him and the big, glorious masterpiece of His love.

Wow.

“How beautifully the leaves grow old. How full of light and color are their last days.” ~ John Burroughs
